The Phillies recently acquired former Cy Young Award winner Cliff Lee from the Clevland Indians. Lee is an above average pitcher who has great stuff, but can be very inconsistent.
With the acquisition of Cliff Lee the Phillies have a good one-two punch with former 2008 World Series MVP Cole Hamels and Lee.
Philidelphia also signed one of the greatest pitchers to ever play in the majors with Pedro Martinez. He's looking good in the minors as of now and should ocntribute to the PHillies rotation.
They still ahve Joe Blanton and J.A. Happr at the end of the rotation who should hae ups and downs, but with an offense like Philidelphia anything can happen.
